— Terms of Use & Content Guidelines

These Terms set out the conditions for using HisatorNotebook (the “App”). By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms. Because the App includes features for sharing and co-editing pages with other users and a feature for publishing pages via URL, these Terms specifically set out how these are handled.
Prohibited conduct The following acts are prohibited.
  • Acts that violate laws or regulations, and sharing or publishing content that infringes the copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights or other rights of others
  • Uploading, publishing or entering into AI features the personal or sensitive information of others without their consent
  • Sexual, violent or discriminatory content, harassment and impersonation
  • Improperly obtaining share codes or co-editing codes to view or alter other people's pages
  • Using the web publishing feature to distribute nuisance, fraudulent or illegal content
  • Abuse of AI features through automation or mass execution
  • Using the web automation feature in a manner that violates the terms of use of the target site
  • Analyzing or modifying the App, and extracting API keys or authentication information
Responsibility for
shared and published content
  • Members of a shared group can view the pages, schedules and attachments uploaded to that group.
  • Pages created with co-editing and web publishing can be viewed by anyone who knows the code or URL.
The user who shares or publishes content shall be responsible for ensuring that the content is lawful and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
Reporting If there is a problem with shared or published content, please contact us via “Bug / Feature request” in the in-app menu or at hisatasan1@gmail.com. When we receive a report, we will review the content and, if we deem it necessary, remove the content, stop its publication or restrict use. Please note that submissions from within the App are limited to 10 per 3 hours.
Removal and suspension
by us		 We may, without prior notice, remove, make private or suspend the use of any content that we determine violates, or may violate, these Terms.
Paid plans and
cancellation		 The method for cancelling a paid plan differs depending on where you purchased it.
  • Windows and web versions (Stripe): you can cancel from “Manage / cancel subscription” in the App.
  • Android and iOS versions: please cancel from the subscription management screen of the respective store.
  • Microsoft Store version: as with the Windows version, payment is made via Stripe. You can cancel from “Manage / cancel subscription” in the App (the subscription does not appear in your Microsoft account's subscription management).
Details on fees, payment timing, cancellation conditions and whether refunds are available are set out in the Notice under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.
Handling of AI-generated content We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose of output from AI features. Please use generated content at your own responsibility. The AI features use the services of Google LLC, OpenAI or Anthropic PBC. How submitted content is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. Rights relating to generated content are also subject to the terms of each AI provider.
Use of
third-party services		 The App includes features for viewing and using third-party services, including YouTube. When using them, please also comply with the terms of use of each service. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party services.
Regarding
data loss		 We are not liable for any loss of or damage to data arising from the use of the App, except where caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence. We recommend that you regularly back up important data using the App's export feature (JSON / .hnmap / HTML / PDF, etc.). Please note that data stored in the cloud through cloud sync (Max plan) is automatically deleted 30 days after cancellation (data on your device remains as is).
Disclaimer The App is provided as is. We do not guarantee that the App is fit for your particular purpose, that it has the functions, accuracy or usefulness you expect, or that it will be continuously available.
Changes to these Terms We may change these Terms. If we make important changes, we will announce them in the App or on our website.
Governing law and jurisdiction These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the App shall be subject to the exclusive agreed jurisdiction of the Yokohama District Court as the court of first instance.
